Our specialised teams work with young people of all age groups engaging them in learning using television and other creative subjects; young people helping each other using the power of television. Programmes are presented and produced, involving them in all aspects of filmmaking, helping everyone gain a better understanding of the subjects learnt at school. EdTV also works with youth groups on subjects relating to their community.

Ed Creates – Where education meets creativity…
Welcome to a new age of Enterprise in schools. Ed Creates backed by the National Enterprise Network, offers new ways of teaching and learning through creative media and enterprise. The business challenges are flexible to the needs of your students and ways of teaching but all rely on children having artistic and directorial control over the process and the products they produce.

Ed Creates is a program of work designed to expand creative learning and enterprise beyond a one off event into an ongoing enterprising process led by the students themselves. It will present them with real enterprise initiatives that they will run and oversee it will also provide them with a route to market for the products they create.

School Film Clubs

EdCreates are now running weekly film making courses in schools, during school hours or as an after school club. Each week a member of our film production team will come into your school and guide the students through making their own film. From writing the script, presenting and filming through to post production, there is something for everyone in this inclusive endeavour.

The course runs over six week periods with each session lasting two hours.  Courses can be run alone or consecutively throughout the academic year.  At the end of the course the students will not only have created their own film but boosted their self esteem and encouraged their aspirations.

To run the course it is £750.00 per course, this includes twelve hours tuition from an experienced production company, full use of professional broadcast equipment and provision of “Hit Film” editing software to install on school computers for the students and teachers to use during and after the course.  Courses can be run with groups of six to thirty students so with an average class the cost could be as little as £4 per head per session!

If you would like to find out more about these courses or to discuss a bespoke package please do not hesitate to contact me on 01159 599 339.
